As part of Capital Growth's Good To Grow Week, we’ll be hosting an informal talk at the herb garden, and discuss how herbs can massively increase biodiversity and support wildlife.
We’ll touch on the many roles plants can play; how we can have a beneficial environmental impact even when gardening in small urban spaces; and look at some specific examples in the garden of both wild and cultivated herbs.
This is a free event open to all. You don’t have to donate seeds if you don’t have any, you can come and collect some seeds. The Herb Garden will also be open and we will have herbal tea, cakes and some plants for sale. Please bring a cup/mug for tea to help us reduce waste at the event!
We will be having a little get together in celebration of Imbolc - the Gaelic festival marking the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. We’ll have warm drinks, hot soup and a fire to keep us cosy!
We will be doing a stall at the Old School Rooms Christmas Market on Friday 1st December 4pm - 8pm. We will be selling a range of herbal products including herbal tea packs, herbal journals, pamphlets. Come see us for some special market deals!

Join Nat from Hackney Herbal for a talk about the garden spaces at Trowbridge Gardens as part of Open House Festival. We'll be talking about our planting philosophy and the work that we do here. We'll explore some of the plants growing and talk about the roles they play focusing on the theme of edible and medicinal plants as well as those that are important for wildlife and biodiversity.

As part of this year’s Good To Grow weekend, we’ll have a garden open afternoon on Saturday, April 22nd. This is an opportunity to come hang out in the garden and enjoy the herbs that are coming up now. We’ll have a drop-in seed sowing workshop, our seed swap boxes will be out again, and there will also be some plants and our tea blends for sale and lovely hot tea to drink on the day.

Seeds are one of nature's most fascinating creations. In this session, we'll marvel at these tiny wonders and how to harvest and save seeds to share and to grow the following year.
Come and visit our Herb Garden which features a variety of common and lesser known culinary, medicinal and wild plants. We will be running a free-drop in Cyanotype workshop where you can make a sun-print to take home. There will be free refreshments, please bring a cup/mug!

We are having a Garden Open afternoon on May 29th, coinciding with Chelsea Fringe (an alternative gardens festival celebrating community and guerrilla gardening which takes place in the same week as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show).
To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week we will be having a garden open evening. It’s a chance to come and spend some time in the garden and find out more about our work.
There will be a drop-in seed sowing workshop where you can sow a pot of herb seeds to take home.
Light refreshments will be available. This is a free event and open to all.
